These classes incorporate functional strength training to help you build a leaner, stronger, better looking body. The workouts incorporate everything from kettle bells to body-weight exercises and are designed to be exciting & challenging.
These classes utilize the proven training methodology known as HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training). The result is a highly cardiovascular workout, incorporating a wide variety of exercises designed to help you shed body-fat and build lean muscle
PRE AND POST NATAL
At MBGVI we believe that pregnancy and the post partum months are two of the most important times to train. Studies show that an active pregnancy leads to healthier moms and babies whilereducing the risk of medical interventions and c section deliveries. Our prenatal fitness specialist will design and coach a safe yet challenging workout to prepare your mind and body for the most important workout of your life.
We all know a healthy, happy mom means a healthy, happy family. Working out in the months post partum is important for mom's mental, emotional and physical health. Correct postural imbalances associated with pregnancy, reconnect with your pelvic floor and core, build muscle and lose fat. Join a stroller fitness class and meet other new moms who are in the same life stage as you. Or try a personal training session for a more individualized workout.
At MBGVI we recognize and understand the importance of the mother child bond so we encourage you to bring your children and have them right there in the gym with you. What better way to introduce your children to fitness than to have them watch mom getting fit?
Sometimes your goals may require some one-on-one attention. Maybe you really want to perfect some of the movements done in class, have injuries, or worry about getting injured, have sport-specific goals, or maybe you just need a little more training & confidence before you jump into the classes. Either way, our Certified Trainers are ready to give you that personalized attention & coaching to help you overcome obstacles in your training and allow you to reach your true physical potential.
The ability to move well, pain free is equally important to your well being as resistance training or cardiovascular conditioning. Carving some time out of your week to slow down and turn inward can do wonders for your health and your training. We know you're busy and we understand the challenge in finding time for yourself. We offer 40 minute one-on-one Somatic Therapy that get you in and out and back to your busy life fast.
What is Somatic Therapy?
Somatic therapy is a form of body-centered therapy that looks at the connection of mind and body and uses both psychotherapy and physical therapies for holistic healing. In addition to talk therapy, somatic therapy practitioners use mind-body exercises and other physical techniques to help release the pent-up tension that is negatively affecting your physical and emotional wellbeing.
You'll leave a somatic session feeling amazing, light and refreshed.
With the constraints & challenges that come with work, family, travel & socializing, we understand that learning how to eat healthfully each week can be very challenging. That’s why we promote “Energy-Based Nutrition”. Meaning, we don’t prescribe to any one name-brand nutritional philosophy, but rather, we approach it from a standpoint of, “what’s realistic?” and “how can I eat better MOST of the time in ways that will increase my energy and make me leaner & stronger?”.
Our approach to eating is simple: eat when you’re hungry, eat until satisfied, avoid as many processed foods as you can, focus on nutrient-dense foods, and eat more veggies! We’ll coach you on the rest as it applies specifically to you, but as we like to say, “don’t let the perfect get in the way of the good”, and you don’t have to eat perfectly to be in great health!

You can't out train poor nutrition. You can train as hard as you want but if you're not fueling your body properly your progress will be slow and your changes limited.
